actually oC vs non oC worth buying better cooler and OC or just buy the cheapest 1 tier up. like strix 3060ti or Ventus 3070?

Strix is basically never worth buying IMO, but don't buy the cheapest one tier up. Rather buy something a little bit more expensive but still on the budget side, like the cheaper triple fan RTX 3070s eg. MSI Ventus 3X, Palit GamingPro, Galax SG, EVGA XC3 etc.

Stay away from the cheapest dual fan 3070s.

correct, I saw the cooling tier list and i was like .. there is indeed some inaccuracy. Best is to look at direct comparisons

Generally, I don't think there is a lot of difference from card to card. The high end models will surely have better coolers and build. But for a 220W card, I reckon that as long as the cooler is capable enough to keep the card cool, it should be good enough. Ideally a triple fan design will be good. Most will be utilizing the reference design for the board, with the higher end models using better or more components.

Considering that the card draws 200W and more, cooling will be very important. It is not as hot as the RTX 3080, but 200W will still require a decent cooler. Cheap dual fan cooler or mini cooler are not recommended for sure.

i agree taking the cooler and temperature charts with a pinch of salt, what was more useful for me was the one glance chart of sorting the GPU into their competing tier.

don't think that one brand's GPU is definitely better then the other within the same category, not a numbered ranking, but more of category sorting.

Coming from a 980ti, the last time i compared gpus was 5yrs ago, lost touch with all the different category/tiers of gpus. eg, i was looking at gigabyte but don't know what is the hierarchy of their cards: Vision, Eagle, Gaming etc

Tbh it actually match the trident z royal theme. Might want to build with the 2 and some 3d printed parts as deco
