Im thinking of replacing the rubbish chute door to a better one?

Any one has any recommendations? Most i seem are just a simple door.

Not sure if anyone has done it before but im thinking of covering it totally and bringing the rubbish downstair every night :s22:

yup, thats the main issue that makes them decide to seal the chute.
Meantime use insect spray Shieldtox naturgard all insect killer (green can) onto the bin chute cover and can reduce the appearance of insects.

I did that about 5 times a week and this spraying works good. I live on the 10th floor, but these insects aim high. I also put moth balls and cockroach baits around bin chute.

Anyone here change the chute to a cockroach-proof one and it's effective? Would love to know!

Bang on the door before opening.

Once a month spray insecticide inside your door.

If you seal the chute, they will make your chute (rubbish side) their home since you are not opening it. Due to periodical smoking, they will gather more and more. One day, they will squeeze through and break through your duct tape. :s13::s13:
