If nt gonna do RAID and just run them seperately, it is ok.

If gonna do RAID, i think will have conflicts. Best is to get same brand, same capacity for RAID.

another thing i one to ask is that will higher writing speed means lower life span?
because ssd only can take a certain amount of write is this correct?

Higher writing speed means if you put things into the ssd, it will copy over faster.(in very simple terms.)

The lifespan is dependant on the amount of GB written. Fast or slow write speeds, you are gonna write XXX GB of data at the end of the day. So dun make much diff.

But, most ssd can last 10yrs+, since hardly anyone can hit like 100gb+ of writing data in a day on average.

Lifespan of a ssd is more than 2 years :)

If you get frequent stuttering when transferring files, or read/write errors, it's a good sign that the drive might be dying real soon based on personal experience.

Mod note: moved to storage clinic

Don't worry about write life. You can get more than 5 years and by that time, you will replace it anyway with newer technology.

My intel x25-M still functionally excellent with life over 98%, as reported in Intel SSD toolkit software

I think it depends on the brand. OCZ is infamous for SSDs with poor longevity.

My Intel X25 G2 drive has 0 prob since day 1, and its now past 3 years old now. In fact, I think I had more mechanical drives that failed over these years than SSDs.

To lengthen SSD life, configure personal data (eg Documents, Desktop ect) to HDD. Also set all temp directories (tmp, temp, Photoshop temp etc) and temporary internet files to RAM drive (I use 4 GB out of 16 GB). In this way, you will minimise write on SSD.

can teach how to transfer to ram drive please?

I use Primo RAMdisk to create the RAM drive. It works like a physical drive.
IE -> menu - Internet options and select 'browsing history'
Environment variables - Control Panel - System & Security - System - Advanced system settings - Environment variables
