YG Entertainment shareholders have scheduled a meeting to vote on replacing Yang Hyun Suk and Yang Min Suk

According to a report by the Kpop Herald on the 20th, YG Entertainment has scheduled a shareholders meeting this Friday to decide whether to replace representative producer Yang Hyun Suk and his younger brother and CEO Yang Min Suk. This is due to the snowballing sex bribery and corruption scandal surrounding former Big Bang member Seungri.

YG Entertainment founder and representative producer Yang Hyun Suk holds 16.12% and his brother Yang Min Suk holds 3.31% of the company stock.

The shareholders meeting comes as the company’s share price has tumbled almost 30 percent since police investigations started last month over allegations that Seungri had offered prostitution to potential business partners from two years ago. The singer has denied all allegations but announced his retirement from entertainment. YG also terminated its contract with him, issuing a public apology over its lax management of the artist. Having already witnessed a series of shady scandals involving several YG performers, however, fans and the public are calling for leadership changes. Adding to the pressure is fresh allegations of tax evasion against the Yang brothers. They were recently revealed to be the real owners of a Seoul club called Love Signal, which was thought to be owned by Seungri. To make matters worse, according to a report by News1 on the 20th, YG Entertainment is also now currently under special tax investigation by the National Tax Service.

Ahead of the gathering of shareholders this week, keen attention is now being paid to key institutional investors whose votes will decide the fate of one of the nation’s largest entertainment agencies.

Investors who are obliged to disclose their stake ownership of more than 5 percent include Global World Music Investment at 9.53 percent, Naver at 8.5 percent, Shanghai Fengying Business Consultant Partnership at 7.54 percent and the National Pension Service with 6.06 percent.

SHANGHAI - Wu Jing has scaled a new summit even as he gets busy shooting a Mount Everest film.

The Chinese actor has been named Asia's most handsome man in a list compiled by a company linked to British film critic TC Candler, who has rolled out annual rankings of the world's most beautiful/handsome faces since the 1990s.

Jung Joon Young gives official statement of the accused ahead of court's arrest warrant decision

On March 21 at approximately 9:30 AM KST, singer Jung Joon Young appeared in front of the press before heading into Seoul's Central District Court office, where the court will determine the validity of his arrest warrant.

Pausing before numerous news reporters and cameras, Jung Joon Young read his official statement of the accused, as follows:

"I am truly sorry. I have committed an unforgivable crime. I admit to all charges against me. Regarding the arrest warrant decision today, I will not object to any of the investigation team's demands and follow the court's decision humbly. Once again, I bow my head in apology to the females who were victimized by my actions; to the females who suffered from secondary offense due to the baseless rumors online; and to all who gave me their attention and affection throughout my career. From here on, I will continue to participate in the investigation process and legal proceedings diligently, while reflecting on my actions for life. Again, I'm sorry."

A prosecuting attorney will hear Jung Joon Young and the police's statements on this day, before making a final decision on the singer's arrest warrant.

Former F.T. Island member Jonghun(29) has been booked for charges of suggesting bribery to an on-site police officer at the time of his DUI offense.

On March 21, representatives from police revealed, "Currently, Choi has been booked for suggesting monetary and material bribes on site to a police officer. The police officer involved at the time recently gave testimony of the bribery against Choi." The police officer is revealed to have denied the bribe, but it has yet to be determined if any monetary or material exchange occurred between Jonghun and the officer.
