My worst fear came true, I always thought if there is someone who is going to leave the group upon expiration of contract, it has to be Gyuri as she seem to be interested to move on to acting on a perm basis.

I've indifferent feel to it frankly speaking..
To me she always look disinterest in the group, maybe she think she's better of having an acting career.

Wish her well and I hope it didn't derail the hardwork the group had put in up til now

NewJeans Breaks Record For Highest Stock Pre-Orders Achieved By Any Girl Group Debut Album In History​

On July 28, ADOR officially announced that as of July 27, NewJeans’ upcoming self-titled debut EP had already surpassed 444,000 stock pre-orders—and it managed to achieve that figure in just four days.

With this impressive total, NewJeans has set a new record for the highest number of stock pre-orders achieved by any girl group debut album in history.

The number of stock pre-orders is the amount of album stock that is produced prior to an album’s release. The figure is the estimated demand calculated using various factors, including how many albums were pre-ordered by fans.

NewJeans’ first EP will be released online on August 1, and the music video for their third and final title track “Cookie” will drop that same day. The physical version of the EP will be released a week later, on August 8.

LE SSERAFIM’s Kim Chaewon Talks About Becoming A Reliable Leader, Changing Her Style, And More​

LE SSERAFIM’s Kim Chaewon participated in a pictorial and interview for GQ Korea!

In the photo shoot, Kim Chaewon showcased her charms through a new concept that is different from her usual look. She remarked, “I’ve always wanted to try this kind of style, and I think that’s why I enjoyed today’s shoot more than the usual.” She explained, “At some point, I realized that I’ve been doing similar concepts over and over. So at the time of my debut as LE SSERAFIM, I wanted to try a new style, which I did. I think it was for the same reason. I had this great opportunity to try different styles, and I’m pretty satisfied with today’s outcome. (Laughs)”

When asked how it felt when she found out that she was going to be the leader of LE SSERAFIM, Kim Chaewon shared, “Well, I never thought about being a leader of a group. So I was surprised when I first heard the news especially because I’m the youngest one in my family including all my relatives. When I look around, I have more acquaintances who are older than me.”

In response to the question of how it was when she became the leader, Kim Chaewon replied, “It was weird at first because there were many situations where I had to take the initiative.” She added, “But there’s a saying, ‘Humans are animals that adapt,’ so I got used to it over time. That’s when I realized, ‘Ah, I can really do it.'”

When asked what kind of leader she wants to be, Kim Chaewon replied, “I want the other members to feel comfortable around me like friends and be able to talk to me about anything. I’d be so happy if no one in our team has any worries or concerns. Well, in summary, I want to be a leader that the members can rely on.”

Regarding which of the members she usually leans on when she has her own concerns, Kim Chaewon shared, “I think I rely on Sakura a lot, and I get some energy from her too. Especially when I’m not certain about something, I ask Sakura one more time. I also want to depend on the other members too, but I’m worried that I might discourage the team’s morale by sharing my worries to the other members who are younger than me.”

Kim Chaewon’s short hairstyle was impactful in terms of her style changing. Regarding her hairstyle change, she commented, “I remember that there was a comment saying, ‘This is not the Kim Chaewon that I know of.’ Actually I’ve been wanting to hear such a comment before I debuted. Once again, I’m so proud of myself for having tried this short hairstyle.”

Kim Chaewon also shared that her role model in the field of fashion is Komatsu Nana, an actress and model. “I look for Komatsu Nana’s pictures a lot, and I like her to the extent that I even observe her casual fashion. I’m her fan.”

When asked with what word she would describe the time before her debut as LE SSERAFIM, Kim Chaewon remarked, “It’s difficult. Well, oh! (Looking at the laptop) A space bar!” She explained, “You know when you start writing an essay, you first put a space in the beginning. I think that space contains a lot of thoughts and deliberation such as what topics to write, what word to start with, and so on. I think the time before my debut as LE SSERAFIM was just like that, as if I’m tapping a space bar to get prepared and start.”

Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung Is Brimming With Fury In New Drama “If You Wish Upon Me” With Ji Chang Wook​

KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama “If You Wish Upon Me” has shared an intriguing new sneak peek of Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung in character!

“If You Wish Upon Me” is a new drama inspired by an actual organization in the Netherlands that fulfills the wishes of terminal cancer patients. Ji Chang Wook will star as Yoon Gyeo Re, a man who has been pushed to his limits by a difficult life full of struggles. However, when Yoon Gyeo Re winds up having to volunteer at a hospice, he finds his life changing in unexpected ways while helping to make the patients’ wishes come true.

Sooyoung will star in the drama as Seo Yeon Joo, a tough and cheerful nurse at the hospice who is obsessed with exercise. Even when on a break, the health-conscious Seo Yeon Joo uses her precious time off to work out, and she’s never caught without her trusty dumbbell if she can help it.

Fortunately, her unrelenting obsession with muscle mass doesn’t stop Seo Yeon Joo from being great at her job, and when she’s interacting with patients at the hospice, her eyes are warm and full of concern.

However, a third photo captures an entirely different side of the usually angelic Seo Yeon Joo, who seems to be just seconds away from flying into a rage. Sitting up in bed with a ferocious glare, it’s clear that Seo Yeon Joo is none too pleased about whatever situation seems to have woken her.

Hilariously, even as she boils over with fury, Seo Yeon Joo is still clutching one of her beloved dumbbells in one hand.

The producers of “If You Wish Upon Me” teased, “In the drama, Choi Sooyoung will portray the character of hospice nurse Seo Yeon Joo in a colorful way, and her character’s story will unfold in a way that is fun and delightful. Additionally, after she meets Yoon Gyeo Re, she will take viewers on a roller coaster ride of passionate acting, so please show lots of anticipation and interest.”

Watch: Kim Sejeong Lights Up The Set Of “Today’s Webtoon” In Behind-The-Scenes Video​

“Today’s Webtoon” revealed a behind-the-scenes look at the first episode!

“Today’s Webtoon” is a Korean remake of the popular 2016 Japanese series “Sleepeeer Hit!” and is set against the backdrop of South Korea’s competitive webtoon industry. Kim Sejeong will star as On Ma Eum, a former judo athlete who joins a webtoon editorial department as a new employee and struggles to mature into a true editor.

The making-of video begins with Kim Sejeong cheerfully introducing herself, saying, “Hello, I’m Ma Eum, who is the famous fairy of making-of videos!” She continues, “Hello, I’m Kim Sejeong who will be playing the role of On Ma Eum. (Clapping like a seal) Finally the first day of filming has arrived!”

The clip shows Kim Sejeong walking into the company through a revolving door. “It’s my first day at work. It doesn’t feel real yet.” Coincidentally, Kim Sejeong is filming the interview scenes on her first day of filming. She remarks, “I’m very nervous. I’ll be filming with the same nervousness [as On Ma Eum], but I will try to enjoy it.”

In the next clip, Choi Daniel introduces himself and his role as Seok Ji Hyung who is a deputy editor and also a good mentor for On Ma Eum. “We’re filming for the first time today. Even though I couldn’t sleep well because I was nervous, I’m enjoying filming together with Park Ho San as well as the director and staff.”

Nam Yoon Su, who takes on the role of Goo Joon Young, also comments, “I came to the filming site feeling nervousness and heart-fluttering excitement today.” He adds, “I’m still in the process of getting used to this filming site, so I’m feeling a little frustrated and unsure of what to do. I’m just doing my best!”

Kim Sejeong and Nam Yoon Su are filming together for the first time, so there is a slightly awkward atmosphere. Nam Yoon Su says, “The first day of filming is always a bit awkward.” Kim Sejeong replies, “Yes, it is.”

As an actress who naturally lightens up the atmosphere on set, Kim Sejeong tries to ease the other actors with her bright and pleasant energy during the interviews.
