Just revisiting my post.

So glad that a year later, i am able to do 5:25-5:45 pace consistently for 7km.

But still FAT af.. haha.. hope this year i can bring my weight down. Am 73kg for a 1.68m.

For those of you who run/jog on a daily basis, what's your running pace like?

Have been doing between 2.5-5km on a daily basis this 2019 (once a week break) and brought my pace from 6'11mins to slightly below 6mins per km. Frankly i dont consider that good a timing at all but a colleague told me 6min is good. So i thought i could come here to compare. Dont ask me to google cause google shows me people who do 5km in 10mins. Lol.. thats like crazyyyyy. Here to compare and improve. Thanks.

Summary:
Age:37
Frequency: 6 times a week
Distance : 2.5-5km
Pace: 6mins

Anybody here that does interval training? What is the ideal number of sets and rest time for 800m?

It's about effort not timing.

Can download freeletics running app. There's a number of intervals which can used for free.

Hello.. how is everyone doing? Still running?

Lately having problem with lower back. But still moving. My pace is really slow and I was never fast. :(

I'm over 60. So nothing is what used to be. Right now trying to increase distance with a 10k app.

Currently able to do 10km ( past 1 week everyday 10km) at slightly less than 60mins mostly. First 5km at a 5-5:45 pace and then last 5 km at a 5:50-645 pace. How’s everyone else doing?

For those of you who run/jog on a daily basis, what's your running pace like?

Summary:
Age:37
Frequency: 6 times a week
Distance : 2.5-5km
Pace: 6mins

Recently started to run because of this **. My pace is just under 6mins/km. I never liked running but no choice now since this is pretty much the few little ways to get out of the house and get a breather. :)

For those running, can try Nike Run Club app - that I just found out. Beside the usual pace/distance/time etc tracking, there are other things to keep me interested e.g. 15k challenge, guided runs, coaching etc etc. Can give it a try. Stay healthy!

Thanks wellsforum although i don’t think it’s an amazing timing compared to what i see on my fb page nowadays. Suddenly everyone is running due to this WFH thingy. I hope to go nearer to 5mins constantly at least for 5km for this year.

Keep it up yksrel! If u had read my posts, i started off on a 6-6:30 pace as well, and was struggling even for 2.4km ... after consistently running for the past 1 year or so, now i have Improved my timing slightly, while increasing mileage. Also helps that i can see lotsa chiobu as i run. Hehe.

I use the nike app too. It certainly motivates me more.

One thing i noticed though, drank a can of beer 2 days ago, skipped ystday’s run due to lousy mood and attempted a 10km run today. Damn shagged. Could not reach my normal level. First attempt in the morning at the 3.5km mark decided to u-turn back home. End up do 5km only with lousy pace.

Evening time tried to do another 5km, this time faster but only managed to run 4k before deciding to “rest” for the day. Total 9km. But always like this after a round of alcohol. Do u guys feel the same too? Basket, and i thought my retirement lifestyle next time is to sip wine/alcohol at night. 😅

Summary:
Age: around 30
Frequency: about 5 times a week
Distance : 7-9km
Pace: 6mins

been wanting to push the pace, but have stagnated as legs feel like lead halfway through the run, and end up dragging the average pace back up to 6 mins.

Consider varying your runs. Consider tempo, interval runs etc. Recovery slower runs in between.
