Running unsafe apps in Miui/HyperOS second space

I want to run some apps not from Playstore. I'm not sure if they have bug/virus or they are trojan horse type. If I run in second space, I'm safe from attack if I don't have any private info in that second space, right ? eg bank apps, Singpass, etc

It's not sandbox. It's more like a hardware partitioning or at least a VM on top of the base. I don't know for sure, but that's what it looks like.

i would not risk it

safer to use separate device, like an old phone to test

Isolating the entire app to a separate device is much safer.
