Thanks . Some shops raised to $559. Preordered from them at 500 then when go down collect suddenly is $559. Really is chop gao gao. So cancel preorder and look around.

hmm... I reserved a Gigabyte RX580 from PCT. At that time, price list stated $399 (Early June). YiLong verbally warned me that he was not likely able to guarantee the same price when stock comes in, and he stressed this point very much to me so as not to sour my purchase experience with them. When it came it was $439 (Mid to late June). Upped 10%... It negated quite a bit of discount obtained from all the other parts

Anyway, were you warned of the possible price increase?

Also,

1. I forgot to get back my GPU deposit from him. Went back the next day to get my $100 back
2. I bought a CM Seidon 120V V3 Plus cooler. It does not come with AM4 mounting bracket. An oversight on my part. When I went to get back my deposit, Yilong gave me one AM4 mounting set FoC.

Hmm at that time i was quoted $500 even though pricelist was $469. But i was desperate so agreed to $500. No word on possible price increase but im not sure. They also didnt inform me that it had arrived ( they did contact me when Ryzen arrived to collect :/)even though i gave my contact no and name to reserve(order) Agreed on payment upon collection.

Only by chance i went down one day after i saw thier post saying had restock then got to know of the new price. So decided to cancel my preorder cos too exp alr.


Anyway, im not pissed at *cthemes or what. Just sharing my experience to clarify things

Is just that i picked up the 580 quite late finally,but this close to Vega and had a fleeting thought on whether to sell and move to Vega once it comes out if it turns out to be good. But now holding on to the 580 for the long term (Navi) after thinking.


Anyway, if i did intend to resell it doesnt mean im going to sell to miners. It also could be gamers who are unable to find a 580 because of miners. The second hand market doesnt consist of only miners.

opened that thread when i was thinking of selling it. Have no idea how to close it so i left it on there

So what price should i sell at? Some listings around carousell was $600 since some had told me to check the site earlier to get an idea of prices. Check few posts up
