Some X3D CPU and some BIOS versions the sensor readings can screw up.

Ask AMD lor.

Also remember to update your BIOS so it doesn't overvolt and kill your CPU. Also ask AMD lor.

I am using TR PA120SE, 1 140mm exhaust, 3 120mm intake at the front, define r6 case, thinking whether is it my thermalpaste too old or 140mm exhaust too little airflow =/

previously was on 5600x with noctua u12p, the temperature also quite high. thermalpaste will expire de mah?

Maybe the contact between the cooler and the CPU is not fully sealed/ got airgaps/loose connection between the CPU and cooler. Try to wiggle the CPU cooler see if it is loose. If its loose try to tighten it. If still cannot u may need to reseat the CPU cooler properly. Thermal paste can get dried up overtime which reduce its effectiveness.

There's also the issue of the Define R6 having a solid front panel.
I left the front panel off my Define, it does wonders for my temps.

your fan got put correct orientation?

i made a the silly mistake when installing my thermalright FC140

both fan wrong direction: sucking air from my rear EXHAUST fan while blowing air to my front INTAKE fan

idling was 60+C, on load go to 90C
