Legion 5 have 80wh battery if you choose 2 ssd. Comes with gtx 1650 but you set set power plan to only use 4800H gpu when on battery. So 10h battery life is possible

Not gamer but video editing, better get higher res screen. Most don’t recommend higher res screen as it will affect gaming performance but for media creation it’s better to get higher res

It depends on the screen size. G14 has a 14 inch screen. Does it makes sense to have a 4k screen? Can you tell a diff?

I am not a content creator but that's the question I will ask since 4k costs more and drains more battery.

4k on laptop is waste of battery and money

1080p will suffice

u need 4k res on a external monitor instead

Actually there a better option, Harvey norman jp ive seen the Ideapad S540, also AMD, which have QHD screen, but CPU is 4800U, which i say not far from the 4800HS, both 8 core 16 thread. It also weight 1.3 Kg.

bo bian ma, cheap and decent is Legion 5 liao, only drawback is the weight

next decent one is aftershock vapor series

next cheaper option is Asus Zepharus G15 which is lighter but more expensive

best and most expensive one is macbookpro 16 which is out of TS budget liao

Also, for those 8GB ram, is it possible to ask the seller to upgrade to 16GB? Thinking of ordering online.

Just curious. Seems like about same weight as legion 15. Any reason you prefer this?

Hmm, when I tried to get 16GB + 1TB SSD with 4800U, the prices started to hit $1700+

This one got GTX1060 inside so more pricey, for AAA gamer. Do they have a model that don have the graphic chips? Ryzen 4800U should be able to drive AA games.
