those are fake seller if you notice properly .

number 1 : price too good to be true

number 2 : not sold by amazon SG/ US

And number 3, the seller name is either gibberish or a name that you cannot find when you lookup this supposed business.

Do they get commission for accepting an order and not making shipment. When we make payment the money is kept by the platform owner (e.g. Amazon). Where is the motivation to do such a thing?

These sellers managed to trigger lower prices from Amazon listings. Some of us here got 3900X for a steal

Amazon doesn't hold the payment first for China - local laws require the money to be sent before shipping. So, the scammers can milk and hide.

It's Amazon u can ask them for help unlike china or our local ecommerce website they will take their own sweet time to process or ignore your problem

Is that true even outside of China and with Chinese seller? I don't think this applies to outside of China, i.e. Singapore in this case.

It all depends on the local laws. I think SG is the same, but cannot hide.

Amazon.sg is not operating out of China? Local laws don't apply?
I have never heard of Seller being prevented from sending good overseas. The restrictions are usually for sending funds which if you don't backup with an invoice will be denied by the bank.

I mean it's quite silly for Amazon not to protect themselves.

I got interesting story, bought a similar cheap item with Amazon sg unknowingly from scam seller. Seller state that he had shipped out but after days waiting tracking number still not found. Had enough and argue my case with Amazon CSO. Walao conversation back and forth keep saying kena scam liao but CSO keep insisting I wait till the end of the estimated delivery date. Lan Lan suck thumb wait 1 month to get my money back. After Amazon outsource their customer service standard drop a lot
