Ryzen User please help

Hi All,

Currently i am using Ryzen 2700x with ID cooling auraflow 240mm. Board B450M Mortar Titanium. no manual overclock but all auto but ram set at 2933mhz.

When idle, my temperature got 45-50degree and when gaming up to 65-70 degree.

Is this temperature normal with AOI cooling?

Due to this, i can't set the fan @ quiet mode, this quite annoying/unconformable me due to noise of fans.

Any expert pls help

Yes you need to remove the old paste using alcohol and reapply a new one.

Quite normal, 8 cores chip's temp is never goin to be 60ish with aio, unless u go full custom wc.

That ID Cooling cooler is known to be pretty weak. It's cooling capability isn't all that great.

My Kraken X62 280mm cooler is running 35-40 deg idle and less than 60 during gaming, and I have manual overclock with 1.38V vcore.

As suggested, try remount your cooler with new thermal paste. See if it helps.

Otherwise, consider changing your AIO for something more well known like Corsair or NZXT. Or go for good air cooling like the Cryorig R1 Universal.

Last night, I found out that we can turn off the "precision overdrive boost" function to reduce the heat. I will try it tonight.

If this doesn't help then I will try to reseat the aoi again or changed to better fan with better quiet fan.

prime 95 - 71-77 degrees

If that's the case, consider changing the fan for the AIO rad to better ones like Gentle Typhoon (if you can find any). Definitely can improve thermal and noise.

My X62 fan curve and pump at default. They are not noisy at all. So I'm too lazy to tweak as of now.

PBO will boost all core instead of first 2 binned cores. So, technically, that's a form of overclock as well lol

I'm using Wraith MAX with 2600 ( non-x ), 60~70 on load.
Casing has 140mm intake and 120mm exhaust.

Turn off the PBO doesn't help unless i turn my fan fast.

I see my chasis all the fan is push air out.. does it OK or i need to have 1 side of air take in air into casing?

Currently my rad on front, 2 fan on top and 1 fan on back.

@.@ so what is the optimize loop for the fan?

Since i have radiator on front, so my fan will be exhaust.

so shall i change the top to intake? or back to intake?

Technically so long as he has a clear air intake at the front/bottom, the negative pressure approach is ok.

Hi,

After did some research, i flip my Front mount radiator fan to intake, top and back maintain exhaust. now temp look great at average 50C ++ while gaming.

CPU fan control with default curve and top/bottom set at 7v (estimate 1k RPM). when the fan hit above 1k RPM, the jet sound start to appear).

Forgot to consider that your chassis could have unoptimized airflow pattern
