Ryzen vs Ryzen 2

Hi guys,

Was thinking of upgrading my com, and was actually looking towards amd chipsets.
Originally I was looking toward getting the 1600X, but should I actually consider getting new Ryzen 2?

Ryzen 2 wouldn't be out that soon. Heard that it said next year April.

u can wait for ZEN+ coming this April.

i will try to holdout till next year for ZEN 2 before my intel cpu "Meltdown".

don't be mistaken, 1 is cpu ... 1 is apu...

amd apu is make for budget gamers without having the need to buy dedicated graphic card...and also price attractiveness against intel consumers. From i read, thermal against performance maybe still the issue.

u see the benchmark and decide which 1 fit your closet.

Raven ridge is APU, pinnacle ridge is CPU

Zen is version 1
Zen+ is like version 1.5
Zen 2 is version 2

As for Raven Ridge, it's like version 1.25?!

I think the Ryzen refresh, which I suspect will be 2xxx series should be out H1 this year. Can't recall when. If you are not in a hurry to get it, then it may be worth the wait. There should be some slight tweaks over Ryzen gen 1 to improve IPC plus an improvement in clockspeed.

I suspect it is closer to 1.5. Reading some of the reviews, some tweaks have been made to it over Ryzen.
