because to me, it seems like the dac chip inside the baseus adapter might not be able to drive it properly, thats why the heat

is the volume of the KZ very loud when you are on max volume?

It's loud enough for me at 50% vol. I had a ugreen adapter for my Huawei phone but it wasn't compatible with S23. Sigh, had to change so many accessories since switching to this phone...

then thats wierd...

did u try other usb dacs? so far i never counter any usb c adapters that heats up, but i didnt try baseus one before though

So I just tested the adapter with Sennheiser headset, strangely it's not heating up even though it has a higher impedance than KZ. Looks like l even have to change earphones sigh...

tried the UAG monarch pro.. this case is built like a tank

dropped it on my foot by accident and i got one big blue black...

trying spigen now.. much more sleek
