Thanks for the comparison to the ringke onyx, is mous heavier than onyx?

But I suspect the in hand feel would be better than onyx because not as boxy.
Slight heavy at 35g as compared to onyx but built like a tank to withstand drops. Yup the sides is more rounded and contour to the phone unlike onyx very squarish.

Guys any suggestions for case that also have protection from phone edge?

My previous note 8 and s21 ultra always gor damage screen due to less protection from edhe of screen. I don't want to make the same mistake again.

Spigen Rugged Armor doesn't have edge protection :(

Only a handful cases....

Cheap and not much bulk > Ringke Fusion Bumper. (Take note Ringke Fusion =/= Ringke Fusion Bumper)

A little more premium in high $20 range a bit bulkier than Ringke Fuion Bumper > Ghostek Covert. However i have no luck in it. Turn yellow within 1 month of usage.

A little more premium in the $30 range not much bulk > Uniq Combat addition. This is rather a under rated case. It has rubber in soles all around the case. It has bumpers on each corners. But the only issue i have. The bottom tpu starts to be a lil loose.

Now at $50 premium > Ghostek Atomic Slim. This will be entering bulky addition. But at this rate all this are meant to widthstand higher impact drop. Usually a much more severe drops.

Anything more will be in UAG monarch range.

Mous case i can clasify it under the look good, look well protected case. I have yet to try. But is darn expensive.

Thanks a lot. I don't mind spending a fortune for a case as I've spent 300+ to replace my screen for my note 8 and s21 due to damage.

So 50 or even a hundred is still cheaper compared to replacing the screen.

I'll look into your suggestions.

Thanks again.

What do you mean by edge? Rugged armor got the air cushion what to protect the four corners.

Lol the air cushion in all the spigen are rubbish tbh.

S23u is above 200g. That air cushion is really not gonna help.

All the casing i recommended. Apart from the usual protection. That 4 corners petrude out to be additional bumpers.

Like him, i also dropped my s22u and the corners are easily damaged by cases from spigen. Hence already learn a lesson.

You might want to buy samsung care+, valid for discount purchase within 2 months when you activate your device under samsung members app. I think its $101 for a 2 year period.

I'm still confused, I thought care+only covers out of warranty repairs at a preferred price?

I mean the side of the phone.

Last time i had the Rugged Armor on my S21 Ultra it doesn't protect the side edge.

My phone fell and hit the edge and the screen cracked. Same thing happened with my Note 8 with Spigen Liquid Air.

So now I'm a bit apprehensive with Spigen case.

Or is the side protected now?

When I got my phone earlier this week, i just got a random phone case to gauge. Brand is Xundd. The side of the phone is totally exposed that if dropped, the screen will most likely break.

So now I'm still using my s21 as I'm scared I'd drop the s23.

What i mean by exposed is that the side of the case is lower than the phone screen. Means the side of the screen is protruding out of the case. Top and bottom is fine as there's a raised edge on the case. Only the side I'm having trouble with.

Im not too sure of the exact coverage, but its good for people who tend to drop/damage their phones, the repairs are discounted.

Tbh not impressive at all.

Discounted repairs are rubbish when one buys care+. Look at Apple Care. Care+ is nothing.

If im an apple user, i will just buy Apple care without any hesitation if im going long with the device. Samsung still wanna charge discounted repairs. Rubbish.

Just install a glass screen protector and your edges will be fine. I dropped s20, s21 ultras many times in spigen/other brand cases, phone with glass protector, never had an issue. The 'branded' phone cases are cheap enough that they are worth going for over OEM/no brand case. Had bad experiences with unbranded cases failing randomly with cracks after dropping, fit/finish not good, edges rough
