Hi everyone,
My S4 bought in May from m1 started having this problem last night. I left it charging while I had dinner, after I came back, it couldn't connect to the network anymore. Tried restart, taking out sim card and inserting it again, but nothing works. Took my sim card and inserted it into an iphone, it could detect the network. Took a singtel sim card and inserted it into S4, it couldn't detect network. So confirmed something wrong with my S4.
Here's the strange thing though, it's still able to connect to the network once in a while, but the duration will only last for a few minutes to half an hour, then it will be disconnected again.
So I brought the phone down to samsung service centre just now, they said it's software problem, and after they fixed it, it seems to be working fine again. But after I came home and restore the backup data from my comp to the phone, the problem came back again. Even after I tried resetting it to factory settings, it still couldn't detect the sim card.
Has anyone experienced such a problem before? Is it really a software problem or could it be a faulty hardware? I never root my phone nor installed any apps outside the play store, so I really don't understand what's causing the problem. Any bros or experts here have any advice?
