S4 cant detect SIM

my phone now cant detect sim.
is there any DIY method to make it work? cuz no more warranty liao.
any mates knows the cost of repairing it?

cannot detect sim could also be the sim card faulty. have u tried using the sim card on another phone?

TRIED. went to service centre... since no more warrenty, i need to pay $30 for a checking fee... then repairation fee is another thing.. donno outside repair how much.

The sim card slot is mounted on the motherboard. Might need to change motherboard, but not sure if they can loft up the sim module using hand..
