turn on my mac this morning and found out that my mac is not charging. tried SMC reset and the problem still persists.

Your power adapter could be faulty. You can try swapping the fuse, if that fails, then it could be the adapter itself.

thanks for replying. tried everything i could before i went to QCD.

ytd that guy told me that my 85W magsafe belongs to the batch with alot of defects as i am not the only one there for this problem.after exchanging for me. he told me that i hope this one will be a good one so that u don have to come bak for this issue again.

so godbless.
overall experienced with the services was still quite ok.
just that the processing time is abit slow as he only need to exchange the adapter and ask me to sign only and he took about 15-20 minutes.

You are lucky. The other time my adapter went bonkers, they needed a couple of days to replace it for me. I had no choice but to go buy another one. The silver lining is that I have one at home and one at the office now.
