Call the NS hotline, make a request to your unit to do 1 for 1 exchange.

Once (if) approved, you'll have to make a trip to your unit HQ camp to do the exchange.

I exchanged my year 2000 issued helmet as the chin straps all frayed, that model cannot change the straps, unlike the current one.

Metal type? It makes so much noise you can tell them its not tactical.

The only thing which they may not allow you to change is the SBO. I have seen people using those super old 1980s type and still using. Apparently the excuse given was the LBV is very "expensive" and they feel its no point issuing a lao jiao one when he is going to MR soon.

helmet SBO both can be changed la but make sure really unserviceable.

example, SBO pouch tear out and straps broken, etc.

best you call them beforehand so that they can order for you. They don't hold stock normally.

means not spoilt can use la. you show them, straps broken, pouch gone, they lan lan also have to change for you. Else you tell them, outfield, got nothing to use leh.

but i know from CQ, they are very particular and careful about SBO.
