Call and ask whether its correct or not. If not, better ask them how to return it. Otherwise, really prepare your anus. They won't take this lightly especially if its a few thousand.

Its the same with banks. If suddenly one day you discover someone wrongly transferred funds to you, you better inform the bank. Its their job to find out who it is, but at least you have returned the money. You act blur and if the rightful owner realises the mistake and contacts the bank, good luck when they find out you are the one. This was mentioned in the newspapers before.

Bottomline, don't be dishonest.

hmmm, based on what I know, it is the sender who has a lot of difficulty getting the bank to do a reversal.

it takes months sometimes and that is the recipient co-operates. If the receiver insist it is correct, the bank will become a neutral party and you will have to make your own effort to sue the person. and that is why it is very important to write the comments when making a transfer whenever possible

Bro, they will find out one. The admin will realise the overpayment.

I suggest not using it and return it when the finance department realise the mistake during their audit checks.

If you can't pay? Instalment to return to the government.

Call the NS Hotline, tell them you are likely to be overpaid and transfer the case to the Finance department (NOT Defence Finance Organisation (DFO)!!! - this is another dept), correct department should be Salary Services Centre.
