hey ppl! just wanna wer to you guys get ur sager laptop from? mucro.asia or sgcubehub?
personally I prefer cube's prices. the information below are stated at the last time I compared (about few weeks ago)
for individual component upgrade mucro asia is slightly cheaper (for whole system as well) but that time they don't bundle with 2 years warranty except for some specific model. so when upgrade to 2 years, it'll be few hundreds extra so end up higher than cube.
Cube base price maybe higher but they bundled in 2 years warranty so total become cheaper. information maybe outdated by now so view at your own discretion. thanks.

Just ordered a NP8662 from sgcubehub today. Default config except that I upgraded to 4g ram. Can't wait for it to come!

I actually ordered the np2068 1st, but after some serious consideration decided to fork out the extra $700. It's just the right balance of price and affordability to me. NP8690 is too ex for me liao...

Anyway, if I am going to leave it on for long hours, should I get the $68 fan from cubehub as well?

For your information, the "WarrantInsureMatch" option is there for us to offer you 2 years or 3 years reseller warranty just like Mr Cubehubs. We always remind people that if you are taking the reseller warranty, you will be taking a huge gamble with the reseller. Our options have the OFFICIAL Sager warranty. Please read the front page for information about warranties. Marketing is marketing. Please don't muck around when it comes to actual warranties just to save a few hundred dollars on your thousand dollar laptop.

You get what you pay for. As always we advise people to get the official Sager warranty because it gives you FULL assurance that you can have it serviced with parts for free in case it breaks down. We also have service centres for servicing severe cases. According to Sager, you do not have to send the laptop to the USA for servicing.

Even US resellers do not dare take the risk for offering 3 years parts warranties at such low costs. Please research carefully before buying.

Please dont worry for people taking reseller warranty with price included. Cos they will know this warranty have to be coverd with free parts and labour.

We have our own deal with Sager HQ for parts.

This means you are taking a huge risk on the parts. Especially with the GPUs and you know they will fail within XYZ years right?

All the resellers are getting the same deal anyway. We hope you know what you are doing. We hope you'll be around in 3 years to jointly compete for marketing Sager ;)

Of cos we know what we doing and we think of long term marketing so we dont think we need to tell you all our plans, right?

Yes, same deal on price but for parts, you have find out yourself from them.

We were in our 2nd year now and next year will be our 3rd year with Sager. And we were doing very well at the moment. So dont worry about other companies.

Cheers

Doing well is relative.
It would be best if you do not put your apartment address in your domain registration otherwise people will come after you. All companies can check up on other companies regarding sales performance. You cannot sell gaming laptops for more than what you currently sell a month. It is a small market.

In any case, we'll be focusing a lot on other brands too so we are looking for people to take over laptop operations. The more you have together the better it will be.
We all have the same deal regarding parts so you need to calculate your failure rates and price it accordingly. A 500SGD graphics card is going to cost you at least 5 machines in sales. Even if you get refurbished parts, its going to cost a lot too.

Thanks for your advise. But we dont think we need that. Maybe next time you can come to our boss restaurant and he will treat you while you find out how we can survive. Never put all eggs in one basket.

We think you are right cos if not you will not enter market selling sager when zepto business was good. We heard recently that Zepto filing bankruptcy. Try to sell other brands were right in case of that happen.

Wish you all the best!!

:) You're in the food business? What food? Food is competitive too. Why food and IT? Maybe a Sager laptop and a free meal :)

Judging from the calculations you're breaking even every year and you might lose a bit or a lot each year.

Too bad for Zepto, but we'll talk to the manufacturer regarding warranty/parts/sales.

Reseller wars? :s13:

Nah not really. We're just trying to convince AT to come over and take over our laptop side. He'll do really well. Now that we have the Alienware at 2899 and Asus G51J at 2190 something.

We got other parts of the Mucro business to focus on.

no ppl come forum to talk business...

You don't understand. We're trying to convince AT to take over our laptop side. Not a customer.
