just got off around 15hours of gameplay on witcher 2 with the 8170 + 485m...omg flawless!
can run ultra setting except have to turn off 'uber sampling', it seems to create some lag but otherwise silky smooth, frame rate is +45-60fps.

I had plugged it to my external screen + plug and play with razer xbox control...thats what I recommend to play witcher 2 with...sit back and relax!

I only got the 1yr warranty, for frivolous reason as my lappy stays in one spot 99% of the time... I thought it can't possibly get 'hurt'!:s22:

but for the love of god get the matt screen which is an option at sgcubehub now, you will tear your brains out with the stock screen!

Was quoted Sager 5160 with i7 2630, 6gb ram, 500gb hdd, bd combo, 15" FHD matte screen with gt540, 6 cell battery in less the 1k usd.
Even with the shipping cost and gst, I guess still a good buy after all.
Was hoping the coming show with good price but seems like this offer really tempting.

Any user of this model ? What's the battery life for normal usage for 6 cell batt ?

anyone knows what the mucro asia sager laptop's reserved 100mb harddisk space for "system" for?

What does it contain? is it safe to delete it and reallocate the 100mb space for my own use?

That's Windows, not Mucro Asia. If you're not using any of the following functions, boot config data store, recovery files and bitlocker space, you can try removing it.

But do you really need to worry about 100mb?

oooo i see, thanks for the info.

But since its part of windows, then when reinstalling the windows, those 100mb will be re-allocated even if manually deleted and allocated before the reformat and reinstall?

those who want to go down to cubeshub got to ensure there is technical worker there if not they are not able to fix for you on the spot like me. went there to check mb battery because the clock keep changing every time I shut down and go to restart 2 time and update online clock in order to works well but the person station there don't know and only open up to clean my mb fan but they will come my house to service because still having warrant with them. they ask me to left my laptop there but I don't wish to put my laptop there for one day because of clock issue! so hai

np5170 spoiled

sager_2.jpg

Hi
I bought one NP5170 from mucro.asia
Everything was ok until when i tried to clean the monitor. The next time i turn on my laptop, it show colourful picture like rainbow and some pattern like cracked glass. I am afraid i have just break one of the LED inside my monitor.
My laptop is still under warranty but is the monitor was covered in the warranty? and how much usually does a monitor replacement cost?

thanks

Monitor is usually not covered, especially if it's caused by user error, which this appears to be. My guess is that they'll charge you at least $250. And I'm being conservative here.

Hi all, I've been poisoned and want to get an 8150 (or 8170).

I did a search through the forum and people seem to offer varying views of Mucro Asia and SGCubeHub, but their prices aren't that unreasonable to make shipping over from the US a viable option (or are they ?)

And what's with the 30 day no dead pixel warranty thing ? It costs around $131, is that really necessary ?

What other options should I take note off ? Help a first time Sager buyer here, what else should I know before taking the plunge ?

Thanks in advance :)

Hi Everyone, i'm planning to buy the Sager NP8150 from Mucro Asia. I'm going to get the Sager 3 year warranty service. There is also the Mucro Asia warranty service, is it advisible to get the Mucro Asia warranty service as well? What is the difference between these 2 warranties? Thanks. :)
