I am wondering about one thing: What protective mods/accessories (skins/sleeves/covers e.t.c) are you all using?

I can't really find them so far =X

Hi guys,
How does the warranty works if we purchase from overseas reseller such as xoticpc.com and local resellers like sgcubehub?

Guys,

This is getting a bit ridiculous. I placed my order for a 8150 on Oct 23rd. According to Cubehub's 21 working day timeframe, I should have received my order around 22nd or 23rd November. It is the 1st of December, but despite repeated calls to Cubehub, all I've gotten is reassurances that the laptop is coming "next week" due to "issues with the transport". I got that answer 2 weeks ago, and I got that same answer last week.

I have sent an email to Cubehub asking for a confirmed delivery date, failing which I will have no choice but to file a claim with Paypal to reverse the charges, as Paypal has a 45-day window in which to raise disputes.

Frankly, I am terribly disappointed as the previous posters in this thread seemed to have a good experience (other than some delays earlier this year due to certain incidents).

I am hoping that Cubehub can come through on this and offer some additional compensation for this ridiculous delay.

May i know what is the exact conversation you had with them?

Been waiting very long as well.
Wondering what exactly is the problem with delivery.....

Hi All

For those order on late OCT and early NOV will face delay due to problem issue with UPS Fees.

The officer in charge our account was on long leave so UPS in USA was not updated with lastest email. And there was a holiday last week in USA so when UPS Singapore side email to them, they have already in holiday. So things was only sloved on this Tue.

So sorry for the delay. Our Boss will offer those customers who have place order in late OCT to early NOV, a RAZER gaming mouse.

Shipments were already on the way there, you will receive them within the next few days. We will contact you with tracking no.

Thanks

The issue is that there was no update to the delivery.

It would be good if customers are updated if there are shipment delays, rather than customers always asking and getting the same response.

That said, looking forward to the tracking no!!!

I ordered my 8170 on the EIGHTEENTH (thats 18) of October. That makes me the longest waiting person here that's complaining thus far. That's almost one and a half months.

I'm glad that my sgcubehub account FINALLY had been updated to reflect COMPLETE for my shipment (although UPS tracking shows in-transit). I hope to receive the call from you this week.

Someone asked me about the specs of my 8170, so I'll share it here :s12:
Everything was at default except for the following:

  1. AMD Radeon HD 6990M GPU
  2. Intel i7-2760QM
  3. IC Diamond Ceramic Thermal Compound
  4. 16GB DDR3 SDRAM (1333MHz)
  5. 120GB Intel 510 Series SATA3 SSD (primary)
  6. 750GB 7200rpm SATA 300 (secondary)

The above are pretty heavy specs because I am a heavy multi-tasker and will be using it long-term and for demanding applications including:

  • Multimedia editing, conversion, etc
  • Gaming
  • Use of virtual machines, etc for IT R&D

Hooyah!

Exactly my issue also. It is always good for us as a customer to have visibility at all times of the order fulfilment process.

Anyway, I do appreciate your response, and I look forward to the tracking number too!
