No chance to view cherry blossom at osaka and fukuoka on 6th april, correct? :X

Osaka city unlikely, but if you head a bit out to Nara there's a chance you can see yaezakura since it's colder. Usually the mountainous areas you can still see it about a week after the cities' sakura fall.

Shinjuku Gyoen was about 60-70% today, some really spectacular spots. Went earlyish and when I left about lunchtime the main Shinjuku gate area was chock full of people and the main fields just inside the gate was pretty full. If I arrived then I doubt I would have the patience to deal with the queue and crowds.....

Was at Meguro River (night) and Ueno (noon)yesterday. Very beautiful, already on full bloom in fact pedals were already slowly falling in the wind. If any of you can only choose one place I will skip Ueno and go for Meguro in the night.

I'm arriving in Tokyo this friday night. I think by then the sakura peak at major Tokyo and Osaka spots is already over. Sakura is so unpredictable. I can't believe I'm gonna miss it. However, people said the sakura blizzard is also a nice thing to see.

True. I bought my tix for 3rd week of March cheap. Thought of just be there for first bloom but I ended up full bloom :s12: Hotels for my period also cheap.

I was at skytree yesterday too.

in fact was at Asakusa for the 2nd half of the day, dressed in Kimono with my wife.

the sumida park has a few cherry trees and was able to capture some falling cherry petals video for my wife.

am heading to Kawaguchiko tomorrow.

In Kyoto there is one place. Haradani En.
Expensive entrance fee and not so convenient to go.

But it is full bloom yesterday. So many Sakura that it is overloaded

Best thing is not crowded because entrance fee deter many people to go there.
Taxi is the preferred transport. On top got constant volume of taxi going up and down.

Another few places with good Sakura now in Kyoto is Heian Shrine and Ninnaji
Ninnaji only full bloom yesterday but it seems might only last till this weekend.

Can also consider going to Ohara in Kyoto. Got even higher chance
