Within Tokyo a bit too late already. Even last weekend many sites already fallen
This week is all green leaf left.

You can consider going up to Tohoku for Sakura

Another few places with good Sakura now in Kyoto is Heian Shrine and Ninnaji
Ninnaji only full bloom yesterday but it seems might only last till this weekend.

Can also consider going to Ohara in Kyoto. Got even higher chance

Tq.. how about arayashimya area and kizomizu dera and nijo castle

Gam siah.

going to Osaka tomorrow.

maybe make a half day trip to those places.

I noticed Ninaji and Haridanien are near to each other, whereas Heian Shrine is quite far away.

is visiting this 2 enough?

In Kyoto there is one place. Haradani En.
Expensive entrance fee and not so convenient to go.

But it is full bloom yesterday. So many Sakura that it is overloaded

Best thing is not crowded because entrance fee deter many people to go there.
Taxi is the preferred transport. On top got constant volume of taxi going up and down.

This year the Sakura in Kyoto is around 1 to 2 weeks earlier than normal.
Ninnaji omuro Sakura is late Sakura . Normally mid to late April then bloom but then yesterday was already full bloom early April.

In Yoshino now
Even upper one not that good already.
Middle and lower one even worse

Inside the oku not yet. Don’t think worth to go anymore.
2 hours from Kyoto then another 2 hours back to Kyoto. Total 4 hours ride

Yoshino ropeway under repair now.
Now either walk or use bus. I use bus to go up first then walk down back.
Walk down quite okay but took a bit of time. Walk up I don’t think is easy quite steep.
Bus was crowded, I was super early leaving Kyoto 6am and reaching Yoshino 8am!

If you really want to go then 6th is better than 8th. From lower to upper Sakura almost gone.

4 hours ride. Back and fro from Kyoto. I would say no.

By mid April, hope still have at Niigata...

According to website, most places in Niigata are full bloom or near full bloom. Still got some sites that may peak later.

https://weathernews.jp/s/sakura/area/niigata.html

Lake Kawaguchiko or nearby usually later than tokyo. Last time i went to Oshino, even though tokyo already past peak, those at Oshino Hakkai still had not even opened. If got time, can consider take a day tour there.
