Visited Osaka Mint today, super crowded and the queue before 10am feels like the starting line for a marathon. Full bloom on lots of trees.
The path is one way but the return path outside is lined with lots of food stalls.
At Shinjuku Gyoen now.
The late blooming one past full bloom stages, many got leaves coming out.
The Osaka mint is famous for their kanzan sakuras, very pretty and fluffy pink flowers but they look a bit different from the usual somei yoshino variety. The good thing is that they usually bloom after the somei yoshino so you can still see them after the normal ones have fallen.
Reached Lake Kawaguchiko today and the trees are in full bloom. Unfortunately, don’t think they can last much longer. Strong wind in the afternoon caused a lot of petals to fall in a blizzard.
Not sure if I will try Pagoda tomorrow, heard from hotel owner it is not so good now.
Oh dear.. I was hoping I can make it in time for next Monday visit.. well I guess i'll still pay the place a visit.. haha so sad that this year bloomed so early
