Last ever consumer MLC SSD, Samsung 970 Pro 1TB at SGD$469 at Samsung Store.

Believe this is the lowest price point ever for local stock.

Per my post #4, Courts online is offering same promo, combined with code GSSCO, become $412.72

Samsung 980 Pro is PCIe 4.0, just launched at a much cheaper price point (1TB USD$209 at Amazon), but uses TLC with pseudo-SLC caching.

Please consult reviews before hooting. ;)

P.S. I hooted 1 unit myself

This is a solid drive in my opinion with no need for fancy SLC cache. Been using the 512GB version for some time now. However given the onslaught of PCI-E 4.0 drives, I doubt it will be that attractive for most people even at the lower 469 bucks.

The cheapest 2TB PCI-E 3.0 NVME SSD I got was around 315 SGD. So I feel while the performance is very good, it may not be worth the steep premium.

Yeah, I agree. I am getting it to function as the primary OS drive, although it is overkill.
It's replacing the 850 Pro SATA 256GB salvaged from my old rig. I sat out of buying a new M.2 PCIe SSD for my new rig last year due to ridiculous local pricing for high-end SSDs at the time.
More gutted that i didn't get it cheaper from Courts :(
Any secondary SSDs I get in the future will be TLC.

If you have already gotten it, just use it. Forget about checking up for better prices. It will do you no good.

This is a good lobang, at this price 970 Pro is the sweet spot...
Not promoting samsung, been using a 970Pro and Firecuda PCIE Gen4, can only say 970 performance is still better....
