projecting white dot now and sammi had no more parts to repair. offer sgs as replacement but had to wait for 2-3 week. counting down...

my termination fee=344 w/o gst
they issue cheque 398+344X1.07=766.08
actually pretty fast around 1+ wk after i show them the bill letter from SH...
maybe i never pick up their calls
they also want u to return them all things in that box!

wow a lot for your case... my termination fee after 12 months are $325 only. + $148 that I paid, merely $495

ya...they say they will refund ur termination fee...
haix...actually i like beam alot...but cannot tahan that it always dies if the screen black out

I opt for new sgs got to wait for 2 more weeks. 495 can't really get me sgs2 with 12 more month on existing contract

i think most of you must be feeling weird that I am asking this qns..but..I am still interested in this phone! I really love the projector function! but can i know..does anyone knows how much is the phone retailing at now? And for the white spots issue..is it possible to be resolved?

after 3+ week of waiting, finally received SGS2 replacement. sammy ran out of original SGS.

Tips for Beam

I thought we could share our improvements to our Beams here.

I have been having problems with twlauncher that keeps crashing on me now and then, especially with the alarm clock on the Beam that I use to wake up in the mornings. So that was a big problem. Trying a different alarm clock didn't help, twlauncher kept messing up.

So I searched around and I found out about an app called Go Launcher. I downloaded it from Market and I was able to replace twlauncher with Go Launcher as my standard.

Now I have not experienced any crashes and the app is nice and full of customizations.

Another advantage is that I am now able to rotate the Start screen that was impossible before. I can also rotate ThinkFree Office documents that I believe could not before. So no problem viewing them with full use of the projector screen now.

I just found this link about updating the Beam firmware to an unofficial one. Perhaps it works with official firmwares as well?
