Looks like you're pretty set even though ripper has thoroughly recommended against it. :D

me spent almost an hr at the roadshow - admiring and being mesmerized by the phone. Prior to that, I have been playing with my bro Galaxy S and find the navigating of the phone so smooth (no lag despite many opened apps) but on the SGB, it seems laggy. However, like what Ripper has mentioned, the lag seems to go away with ATK.

Hmmm...since Beam is closer to Spica, maybe can try some of the Spica hard reset methods?
ripper found this on google :D

You shoul power off the phone, then hold down:
volume down + call + end call

(hold down volume down + call first, then finally hold end call as well)

Then when on the recovery screen hit 'home' to factory reset.

hmmm, where are the Call and End Call buttons~

you mean you installed ATK on the Beam's demo set at the roadshow?

ripper never really compared lag with SGS, only compared pre-ATK and post-ATK on Beam itself.

post-ATK is definitely alot less laggy. but still, ripper thinks it's not as snappy as SGS even after ATK. nevertheless, ripper thinks once it's Froyoed, it should be good. :D

nvm, files transfer use mass storage mode. don't bother with KIES, it's a POS software.

Yes, thanks to you & ForbiddenB. When I click F or G drive, it says insert a disk.

Forbidden B advises me to check the status bar drop down, click on the usb text, and it will prompt me to mount or unmount if mounted.

Thanks, but gostan the i.t. noob still cannot transfer files. :o:(
hah? thot u did it le?
after you mount, your pc should prompt u that a usb device is detected.

1. plug in beam to pc via usb
2. pull down menu of beam and select the usb connected setting
3. choose to mount
4. check pc screen that should detect the memory card as a thumb drive
