Sorry for the rant but I must say, it was since the Note 7 that I bought brand new Samsung devices and directly from Samsung Singapore until the S22U.
First of all, taking Apple as the benchmark for exemplary pre-order buying, Samsung is so far behind that I look at the situation and go this must be a joke right? While I was lucky I did my preorder for my S22U through Lazada's Samsung official store and the phone came 2 days early, I found it absolutely insane that the redemption card was sent separately which meant additional delivery costs (for samsung), man hours and wastage of packaging. All for another piece of paper.
They say they want to go green by removing the charger and then this happens? It just smells like Samsung is being cheap by removing charger, adapter even screen protector.
Then the redemption process for the pre-order "gifts". Really? While it may sound silly that I am ranting about "Free" items. Since it is a lucky box and we can't choose, why not just send it together with the devices all at one go?
Wait for the redemption card, submit the details. Wait for reply. then wait for the redemption site to go up. After submitting. Wait again.
While I am considered lucky that I managed to get my phone quick. Others who have pre-ordered through Samsung.com are informed that their devices will be delayed. Fuuyoooh. Terribad.
It just seems like Samsung can't get their s**T right when it comes to their fulfillment service so one can only assume their process in the back end needs some shaping up to do.
Samsung, you charge premium prices thus I think it is only fair customers expect premium services. I just hope my Tab S8+ order goes on without a hitch.
To their credit, yes you give us items for early adopters and sell through various portals which makes it complex but I honestly think there is a much better way than it is being done right now. I think many of us would appreciate a simpler buying experience.
End of rant. Share your experience here be it good or bad.
