G99 is actually an under-rated processor, cheap and draws very little power, so battery life is good. At its targeted segment like young kids and elderly, it is a good choice as it can handle normal lifestyle apps adequately. Just don't expect to use for gaming. I use it for shopping apps and it runs smoothly. Samsung amoled screen also looks good. Even its predessor G95/96 also quite good and they are cheap like peanuts.

Normal games no issue, even those 3-4 years ago phones can handle simple games. Of course, we are not talking about those graphics heavy games.

According to gsmarena, the battery life for gaming is very good. But maybe because the chipset is that not power hungry. Haha

Its battery is good, I can watch many hours of live streaming and it doesn't get heated up much. Usually charge at 30% to 85%, about 30-40 mins.

Well no. I don't use a cheap $100 phone to play a graphics intensive mobile game

Don't think screen recorder is available for A15, have to download external party screen recorder to use

I have an A14 5G, I asked Samsung, they told me have screen recorder as default. End up don't have.
If A15 5G don't have, then no point "upgrading"

totally agree.
i just gotten one of this and its probably the most value model with a good G99 decent performance in the market right now in the $100-150 range,
all the other low-end models like 13c c65 pales in comparison

G99 is about 50% more powerful than G85 and power efficient.

Another plus point is that Samsung is sold in major retail stores like Courts/Challenger etc and many neighborhood mobile stores, if you want go see see look look first

yeah i would say A15 4G is the mvp model in the <$150-200 range.
4G, not an issue as my spare MVNO are only 4g.
Only cons i'd say is the old gen <20w qc3.0 and the phone design being abit blocky/squarish

Redmi/poco's budget range no longer as attractive (weaker chip with higher ram also pointless), especially when their entry models are now disabling some OS/android features like split screen etc.

infact i've just received my second A15 today as i came across a good offer

Galaxy AI only for those top end models. If you need those features, you can pay $1000.
