On Tues evening, water went into my Note. Unfortunately I did not notice it immediately, I only realized when the screen suddenly blacked out & refuse to turn on, & saw water condensation on inside of front & rear camera cover.
The phone is still on, & I cannot switch off as the screen do not work. I can still hear my daily alarm ringing even today.
I suspect water ingress from the top mic hole (few months ago, was ejecting sim card tray, but insert the pin to the mic hole instead)
I have take out the sim card tray & s-pen & noticed the water condensation behind the camera is lesser but screen still won't turn on.

Not sure is it screen gone or motherboard damaged, I read Samsung SG screen replacement is almost $400, not sure mobo will be how much. Anyone got experience with outside repair shops or any recommendations for outside repair shops

Have you completely dried out the phone? If not, place the phone in an air tight container of rice (grains, the uncooked type) and leave it for a few days and check on it then. The rice, as I understand it, acts as a desiccator and will absorb all the moisture. Worth a try....

Edit - I had a little accident with my Note 10+ yesterday, while picking it up with my Fold 2 in same hand, it slipped off my rather careless attempt at holding it. It dropped and jot the edge of my Caselabs case which is all solid metal, the edge of the phone struck the edge of the case resulting in (see below):

Although not clearly seen, there's a hairline crack from point of impact down 3/4 of the SP, plus one crack going all the way to the top. Needless to say, I've had the SP replaced already, this only serves to underline the importance of having a good TG SP instead of those film types.

Yup, backup the data first, meanwhile using pixel 4a as my backup
You have green screen of death. Same problem common note 9. Also ganna after firmware update. Had been telling people not to update. Guess note 10 also same screen issues.

I am wary of note 20 now. If same issue how to buy or upgrade? Updating firmware or even security run high risk of getting green screen death

I had the exact same problem a few months ago and managed to get Samsung to repair it under warranty. It's not going to be cheap because your screen, camera, mobo, battery and charging port might all need to be replaced. I remembered the original cost to be 1500+ if I had no warranty.

Exactly, I am also weary of their phones already. TBH, this is not the first time I had issues with Samsung phones.

The issue is with Samsung is they don't address it directly. Why bother to spend so much on a "flagship" phone when it is not going to last?

Ya. Can buy but don't update. My wife's export set haven't update the firmware since day one (export set somehow no auto update or not supported)

Her set smooth like butter, battery life still strong and no fear of green screen. I don't sure why people hardup for useless features or security updates
