just got my galaxy note 2 screen but accidentally dropped it. *gasp* cracked instantly...

I suppose the warranty doesnt cover cracked screens... if I go to the samsung center, how much will it cost me?

alamak... where is the post? got cheaper repair store? sianz.

Sorry to hear about that.

Better go back Samsung. Since it's a really new model I don't think third party shops will have the parts.

I heard from a friend using S3 that Samsung will cover the first screen crack but we will have to pay for subsequent changes. Not sure if it applies for Note 2.

well, i did went personally to the samsung service center. it was 288 dollars for my note 2. my screen was crazily cracked, not one small line but the whole screen was smashed... though the phone still can be used.

the service personnel say the quote includes checking of the internal hardware as well as the replacement screen. so every data on the phone will be wiped.

it will take 2-3 days for me to collect it... would expect to get it on tuesday...

*gosh* any suggestions on REAL hardcover protective cover?

Wise choice.

I think it's better to leave it to the experts to do the replacement. And also your warranty world not be void. Going to a third party to replace screen would likely void the warranty.

Go with Otterbox for the ultimate protection. Or otherwise any flip case with a thick flip cover will be good to protect the screen against impact if it hits the ground screen on.

Yeah it's always close to $300, plus or minus.

Waiting for the legendary UBP (UnBreakable Panel) displays that have yet to make an actual appearance in products.
