from various samples, N2 camera fares better than N3.... sharpness, contrast and in low light condition. under low light condition, N3 camera is a disappointment. i hope it is not a hardware problem.

someone says the "processing" after every photo taking can be done away by switching off smart stabilisation.

The stablization makes it worse and i have it off. Its increases ISO to make pics brighter and of cos more noise.
S3 and note2 had quite "bright" pics without issues seen on N3. I tried ISO100 static but still quite noisy. Not sure what is happening or its just a software issue

Doesn't the Smart Stabilization help to produce better quality photos?

Funnily I think Smart Stabilization is neither smart nor stabilizes your shots :s13: Try taking photos at night with it off and with it on. It seems to change the ISO to accommodate low light shots instead, i.e. night mode in previous Galaxy devices.

Anybody having issue with the air gesture?

I don't really have a problem with them functioning, but it does take a bit to get used to using them. Also, I think it doesn't work like the S4's air gestures in the sense that you now need to indicate which apps you want it to be enabled in.

The problem I have with them is that the sensor still seems to be turned on even when you turn the feature off. Try this: turn off air gestures, set the lockscreen effect to watercolour, turn off your screen then turn it back on. At the lockscreen, hover your finger over the screen and see if the watercolour effect appears. Theoretically, the sensor should be off to conserve power, but... :s11:

They went through so much to conserve power with this phone, even fixing the pixel-lag that the S4 suffered from at launch that caused smearing so that blacks on the Note 3 are now truly black, but then they screw up this sensor thing. :s8:

Try putting a black wallpaper on the Note 3 and any other amoled device like the S4 and see them in the dark, the Note 3 is completely invisible but the S4 has a faint gray light because the pixels are still turned on ;)

Sounds like N3 is having many problems in the camera image quality. Hopefully Samsung will push an update fast to resolve these problems..

air gesture uses infrared sensor at the top. :s12:

the hovering effect is a Air View. :s13:
off air view and that feature should be gone.

both features can be turned off and works fine on my S4

Two other things may affect the screen brightness in browsers. Auto adjusting of screen tone (under Display settings) and Power Saving Mode's Screen Power Saving function can both adjust how the screen looks even with auto brightness off (technically they're not adjusting the brightness).

Actually I think it could be the Google Play store trying to re - download all your apps?

I would like to think the "legacy" night mode in most cameraphones have slightly to do with shutter speeds as well. But i cannot confirm. This is too "SMART" that it uses ISO to compensate shutter speed (over all speed) so blur due to shutter speeds is minimized (slight blurring still occurs though)
