Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Issue after software update:
After updating to the latest software from Samsung (2/1/2022), when the phone restarted, the "SIM service 1" message appeared and got stuck on the screen, and would not disappear even after tapping the "Singtel (Postpaid)" option multiple times. Unable to use the phone at all because of this stuck message on the screen. Tried resetting the network setting, turned on airplane mode before inserting the SIM card again, all in vain. Samsung Service Centre was of not much help, earliest appointment to bring phone down is on Thursday (6/1), 4 days later.
Has anyone encountered similar issue, and any resolution? Unwilling to do a hard reset for now, lest the issue is not resolved even after hard reset.

Hi,
I had to do a hard reset of the phone, and the issue was somehow resolved, but a pain to have to set up the phone all over again. Disappointed with Samsung, since the Android 12 update in Dec, been having problems with some apps force closing on launch.

Funny ppl! There is already a S21 thread, why open another one? S21 update issues are discuss at the official thread which major regulars participate. We have a lot of flashers in that thread, I'm sure they can easily answer your question.

Anyway just do a hard reset should be fine after. I always use a thumbdrive to backup the screen captures of all apps display, and do a manuel sync with Google. Then perform a hard reset, just configure Google to sync back all contacts, browser bookmarks and emails. Then open Google Play to reinstall all apps.
