Let me share some benchmarks results for those whom are interested. Like what @Jurong640 mentioned, it is the same Exynos 2400 used in the S24 and S24+, so will not be testing in depth

Geekbench 6 Results:

3Dmark Wildlife Extreme Stress Test:

Antutu Benchmark:

GPS (L1 + L5):

Thoughts after running these tests:
1. Stability of the 3Dmark Wildlife Extreme stress test is decent but not impressive. Throttling will bound to occur when gaming for sure.
2. Phone is not heating up that much during the course of benchmarking. The only heating up which I felt is during the 3Dmark Wildlife Extreme stress test where it is running 20 rounds of benchmark.
3. Cost cutting measures detected, phone is using UFS 3.x instead of UFS 4.x storage. Nevertheless, day to day performance since decent, but I can feel some slight stutters when navigating around the UI. Not as often as A56, but it is still present. At least it is still using the LPDDR5X ram instead of LPDDR5 on the A56.
4. CPU performs almost like a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, just slightly slower. Actually, I will have prefer the phone to be using Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or a Dimensity 9300/9300+. But, can see that Samsung is taking initiative to improve their own chips as reviews on Exynos 2500 yield surprising results (Looking at Tensor G5 :s13: and Google's decision to move away from Samsung fab and I am laughing loudly in 1 corner :s13:)
5. Surprisingly, dual band GPS! This surprises me as I thought Samsung will chop this up for cost cutting measures. L1 and L5 GPS!

Okay, time to conclude after using the device for about a week:

1. Phone build quality is pretty good imo. The matte back is a plus for the S25FE compared to the shiny back on the S24FE. it does not catch any fingerprint at all, I am also glad they do away with the ugly camera module design on the Z Fold 7 and now the S25FE. At least don't need to worry about the camera rings dropping, paint chips on the camera rings etc.

2. Haptics are strong compared to A56, S24FE. This is also another improvement for me. Cheap vibration motors are just trash nowadays.

3. Phone is snappy and does not heat up much during normal usage and my mobile legends gaming sessions. Gone are the days where Exynos heats up like crazy. Even this year's Exynos 2500 on the Flip 7 has decent reviews as well.

4. Screen on time averages about 8 hours for me. Mixed usage of WiFi and 5G. Definitely enough for 1 day usage.

5. Same OneUI experience as other devices. Great software with tons of customizations available. I think I do not need to elaborate much on this if one has used OneUI before. However, it did launch with Android 16 out of the box, hence, software upgrade support will be till Android 23 (hmm not sure if the hardware lasts this long though :s13:).

6. Display bezels are way thinner than S24FE, making the screen more immersive to look at. However, I do wish it has similar bezel thickness all around. But I guess it does not make much difference if one puts on a case? :s13:

7. I do wish it comes with 12GB of ram instead of 8GB though. Yes it is enough for day to day usage for sure. But I do notice more frequent force closes of apps in the background. I do not use the ram expansion though. A56 comes with 12GB variant, but why still stuck with 8GB on S25FE???? :s22:

8. Marginal upgrade in processor, Exynos 2400E vs Exynos 2400 :s22: basically it is the same chip. :(

Overall, nothing much to hate about the phone. Great all rounder but I do wish the price to be cheaper though. A good price point will be around the $500 - $600 range though, but I guess their A56 is at that price point.

Hopefully, S26FE will use last gen flagship level chips, like Dimensity 9400, or even SD8 Elite. Gone are the days where S10 Lite uses Snapdragon 855, S20FE uses Snapdragon 865. Since S21FE era, started using Exynos 2100, all the way until now...... No more selling point for the FE ever since? :s13:

Signing off now.... Till the next review!!!!

Thank you very much for the review bro. Would you say that it is worth the upgrade over the S24 FE? There is about a $200 difference now.

For me personally no, wait for price drop a bit lor. I think if the price difference is like $100 - $120, I think it is still acceptable.

Basically paying more for slightly better performance, thinner display bezels, stronger haptics, matte glass back. The rest more or less the same as last year. If one owns S24FE and is happy with it, can just keep and continue using the phone till S26FE comes out.

But if one is looking at onboarding the FE camp, I will recommend just get the latest and greatest IF the price difference is around $100-$120 between S25FE and S24FE

S25 fe is simply a repackaged of last year S24 plus international model (which runs on exynos). I dont know why nobody says this, maybe sponsored post, this hard truth will dampen s25 fe sales.

It is quite normal for Samsung to repackage a newer to the current phone as an SE series, thus SE is supposed to be "fan edition."

Not many competitors or non-ones I heard of have FE series

Vivo have been doing that last year with Vivo X200Fe and soon with X300FE. Need to repackage a smaller, budget friendly flagship.
