Hi! all. i have a rooted S3. was using phone to check for software update when a msg appeared informing me my device have been modified software update not available. anyone encounter same issue?

This is not an issue....since u've rooted ur phone and probably update ur firmware thru' Odin......u will hve to cont'd to do so as such. Kies is not exactly `friendly' to manual updates

As long as you dont install the updates, nothing funny will happen to your phone right? I also keep getting tthis update thing notification on my phone cant get it away

Hello does anyone know where can I get 3200mah battery for s3? Not those that will come with back cover thou. I am looking for those that can fit like original battery.

I thought Samsung just released a new 3000mah batt? Anyone knows when we will receive it?

the thing is when initially rooted my s3, i was still able to check for updates & download them. then i would use odin to re-root phone if necessary. i've so far updated my phone twice via OTA instead of odin.

Ok....so u're using rooted phe with stock rom. If such, u shouldn't see such msg. Suggest u check ur rom version if u've the latest update?

Maybe previously it was still ICS, now JB don't support update check for rooted S3.

1) do they provide spare backup phone?
2) i heard there are doorstep delivery service?
3) safe to send in phone with email info etc for repair?

guys... my phone just now i see got notification led but i press any button screen no light up,den i take out bat n put back now totally cannot on cannot charge etc.at 1st tot too hot cos i put on top of laptop but now cool down le still same leh how ?

Went to the the Samsung shop at Parkway and found that the S3 LTE they selling only has 1GB RAM but the Singtel shop at B1 has 2GB... doesn't Singtel take stock from Samsung? why Samsung sell 1GB but give Singtel 2GB to sell...

Was told by the 'staff' that only Note 2 is 2GB, S3 non-LTE and S3 LTE both 1GB. He also say he dunno how to check on the phone but that is the specs. I myself check via Task Manager and confirmed the S3 LTE they sell shows as 1GB just like my S3 non-LTE and the note2 they sell shows 2GB. Went down to B1 singtel shop and their display S3 lte I check shows 2GB.

I got issued another S3 from company. I have a spare original brand new charger straight from the box, 1 charger for me is enough. Anybody needs it can PM me.

They are supposed to provide replacement phone for S3... But from my experience (I went there 2 times for my S3), the replacement phone always no stock one. So in the end, there's no replacement phone. You will have to rush them to repair the phone quickly.

Doorstep delivery service, I have no idea for this.

Phone with email? They will wipe everything out. The first time I send in my phone with all my data inside (coZ the screen cracked for no reason), they replaced the screen and wiped out everything.

Somehow I think u got smoked. S3 LTE all is 2gb leh.

Experienced a very bad customer service from one of the CSO at PS today (she look a bit like ah lian kind :x)

My phone's power button was faulty and when I pass my phone over for her to check, she forcefully pulled out my cover (which cost $30) and just pull out the battery cover and battery without even off-ing my phone properly. She then kept the phone and told me to come back within 5 days without any additional instructions or explanations on what is going to happen etc. When she returned me the cover, one part of my cover had cracked due to her pulling it forcefully out (I'm very sure it was her cause I still checked my phone's overall condition before handling it over to her) I went to tell her she spoilt the cover but she kept denying without any apologies at all. So I LPPT and had to leave that place.

Will bring forward my complaints to Samsung Singapore but I doubt it will be effective anyway.
