Samsung Galaxy S4 Charge

I was charging my Samsung Galaxy S4 using an iPhone wall socket. I simply plug in the USB and connect it directly to my Samsung Galaxy S4 and it worked.
However, it is unbelievably slow.

Charging it with my work laptop is just as worse.

10 minutes and barely move 1%.

I was just wondering, is it really because of the iPhone wall socket, or cable or both?

What's the normal charging time from 0% - 100%, presume that the phone is a mere 2 weeks old?

It is not the cable fault. The reason why charging with iphone adaptor and through laptop is slower is because the current is different from charging with an original galaxy s4 adaptor. For fastest charging, use original s4 adaptor to charge your phone.

iphone charger 1 amp, usb charging 0.5amp
s4 charger 2 amp

You can try ipad chargers, may get you the full 2amp

Yup, I bought a cable and try out with different adapters.
Turn out, it is really advisable to use original cable plus adapter to get the maximum charge.

Few minutes and I already get like 5%. Awesome.

I have yet to use the original cable with iPad adapter though. Will share with you guys the result once I have done it.

the cable provided with my note2 is charging very slow for me. with the OEM charger (2 amp) and OEM cable, output is only about 100-600 mAH ~ 6-8 hours charging.

tried the cable that came with xperia phone and got consistent 1800 mAH ~ fully charged within 2 hours.

Just use other cable if not working...if warranty get it change
