Direct replacement for existing Samsung Tab A9.

8inch. Almost everything is the same. Tab A9 support is coming to an end.

Not available in Spore yet. Just launched in Msia by Samsung.

The article mentioned EU CRA.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyber_Resilience_Act?wprov=sfla1

The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) is an EU regulation for improving cybersecurity and cyber resilience in the EU through common cybersecurity standards for products with digital elements in the EU, such as required incident reports and automatic security updates.[1] Products with digital elements mainly are hardware and software whose "intended and foreseeable use includes direct or indirect data connection to a device or network".[2]

Was at JB City Square and touched the Tab A11 at Samsung Store. Felt slightly heavy on the hands. The screen is not as impressive as I would have preferred. Sound is okay when playing youtube video. Difficult to say if one should buy this over the Redmi Pad SE 8.7. The screen for both devices (LCD) just CMI. I am particularly looking for LTE device. I currently owns iPlay 60 mini Turbo (wifi) and would prefer LTE with similar spec.

The choices are limited for such size with LTE support generally...

Sadly Samsung SG only brings in the larger 11-inch Galaxy Tab A11+ here, because 5G option available for that device (the smaller 8.7-inch A11 only has 4G due to MediaTek Helio G99 SoC). Selling officially at $398 for Wi-Fi model, with 5G version costing $60 more.

At least they bring in the higher end model than the lower end with 5G support.
Good that they are not bringing in eWaste models honestly...

Not exactly, Tab A11+ comes in 2 memory configurations globally:
- 6GB RAM + 128GB Memory
- 8GB RAM + 256GB Memory

SG Market gets the LOWER configuration (6GB + 128GB) actually.

I was initially thinking about getting the Tab A11 LTE to replace my aging Tab A7 Lite LTE model last year, but 5G rollout for "prepaid" line plus end of OS Updates for that one ends up with me getting a 5G phone in August, and looking at the offering and price now makes me feel that I just dodged a lethal bullet instead.

Right, not really into such entry level since A7 was horrendous for me, never going for such entry level tablets again.
Oh right, but that's just the RAM & memory which is negligible, critically will be the processor which is better than the G99 one I presume.

If you want 5G might want to go for Xiaomi models like Redmi Pad Pro 2 5G etc. than such Samsung entry level tablets.
At least this is the direction that I took.
