Hi! For those who have bought Galaxy Watch Active - where did you guys get it? Official Samsung store or elsewhere? What is the price difference like and if warranty terms are the same if it is not from official store.

Had the Moto360 (Gen 1) a few years ago. Sold it some time ago and thought I'd try a Tizen-based watch this time round!

I just got a local set from qoo10 for $268 (after $30 coupon). Was quite a lucky find I think, the shop not those power sellers so you have to look at the list quite extensively. That said don't think they hold anymore stock for the black version.

Anyone with experience between series 4 and galaxy watch?

Online reviews said how good the battery life on the galaxy is but I realise its likely due to settings.

Eg: heart rate monitoring on default for galaxy is frequent which means only when active to monitor every 10mins. I'm guessing since I'm at work that's why last measured can be 3hours ago kind since I am not particularly considered active moving around.

That did give me better battery life however if I turn on the monitoring to always it's not any better than series 4.

I did recall series 4 hr monitoring is as often as the always setting for the galaxy, which means I prob have the same battery life if they were to be set equal to each other and not in a power save feature on the galaxy

For the galaxy watch, 46mm has much better battery life as compared to the 42mm one. So which are you comparing?

Anyone has problem with spotify and workout? Whenever the workout app announces something, spotify just stops and will never resumes.

Actually series 4 Vs the 46mm.

Series4 measures more often at intervals
Galaxy only measure if I are active at 10min intervals at stock

When you set galaxy to measure more often it will use more battery so making it a big contrast over the stock setting.

After a couple of days of use and mucking around, the galaxy battery still outlast series4 which is good.

I guess in short if the galaxy monitors at same frequency as series4 without having the requirement to be active would be better.
