Samsung is killing the "Classic" watch and replacing it with Pro. The standard option remains with the Watch5.

For instance, the regular Watch5 will come in two sizes, while the Pro will likely be sold in just one size. Previous rumors also suggest that the latter will incorporate a big 572 mAh battery.

Lastly, to no one's surprise, the new round of watches will keep the circular design and will run on the One UI Watch platform based on Wear OS 3.

Additionally, there is a Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Golf Edition, which comes with a two-tone band, an unlimited membership to the Smart Caddie app and exclusive watch faces. All three models have a Golf Edition, the 40mm one starts at $330 for a Bluetooth model.

Not exactly an in-depth full review for the Watch 5 pro but some good to know info about actual real life usage. Seems like apart from the larger battery, its hard to justify the premium in price for the Pro model over the non-pro models.

My guess the same limitations for watch 4 export set applies on watch 5, namely unable to use sammy pay as you metioned, and ECG/BP monitoring not available. But ECG/BP can be activated with a work around, details of which you can check out on the Watch 4 XDA forum.

Saw the listings for Watch 5 export on qoo10 and i had to do a double take on the prices. Thought my eyes were playing tricks on me when i saw the difference compared to our local official retail price.

The qoo10 seller did state there won't be additional GST charge. The price difference is really a no brainer even at the risk of no warranty.

The thing with Watch 5 is that its barely a "sidegrade" to the Watch 4, let alone an upgrade.

Processor, ram, internal storage exactly the same. Exact same sensors used apart from the addition of skin temperature sensor which for now does absolutely nothing. Watch 5 is made of sapphire glass which supposedly increases durability of the watch. The most obvious change in specs is the bump in battery capacity but all the early reviews are saying the same thing and that is they are not achieving anything close to Samsung's claimed 50hrs battery life per charge.

As it stands, the watch 4 classic export set is available on qoo10 for below $300 with coupon discount. The rotating bezel is such a nice feature which for some unknown stupid reason, samsung decided to remove on the watch 5. The watch 5 is not attractive enough of a proposition even at export set prices. The watch 4 classic is so much more worth it as long one can deal with the battery life such as charging more frequently or do some settings tweak to prolong the battery.

I was excited for this release, but so far underwhelmed by the reviews. Shall wait and see or hope for a better pixel watch.

Yeah....also waiting for pixel watch although from some of the "leaks" the specs and battery life are not looking too impressive. For me at worse if the pixel watch also sucks then i just might grab a watch 4 classic on the cheap during 11/11 sale or something......

Nope. Although delivery for pre-orders was supposed to have started yesterday but when i passed by courts, challenger and telco outlets last evening its was still cardboard place holders displayed instead of the actual watch 5.

using watch 5 pro LTE for 24 hours now since last charged to 100%. still juicy on 60% now. well it new from oven and with all feature online this is much better than watch 4 LTE which almost dead at 20% at 24 hours.

the size of watch 5 pro still jjust nice actually compare to gshock.... but if you compare to watch 4 active, its really felt bulky.

Actually I really like this original strap. And I'm gonna buy watch 4 sport strap for it.

Can consider spigen rugged armor also.... it become g shock look. Then dl gshock face for it... imitation... lol
