Hi guys,

I have an old Samsung Note 1 that needs a replacement battery.

How much is an original battery? How about those OEM 'gold' battery, reliable or not?

Not bloated yet but really can't hold charge already. Probably will drain flat from 100% in like 2 hours :s13:.

I don't mind OEM batts as long as they are reliable.

well u need to check seller reviews and reputation...

it should be cheaper...and some do give out free gifts and maybe extra battery for free :s12:=:p

Problem is those reviews are buyers that haven't use the new battery for extended period of time to prove it's reliability. Most reviews are for brand new batteries which hasn't been tested yet.

I guess that's why a review from anybody here that has experience with OEM batteries will be more accurate.

Tmall ones just find those with samsung certificate of authenticity. Shld be genuine from their china factory. And they cost like $12 or smth. Use 65daigou to ship via sea, takes abt 2 weeks. Worth a shot. At the most if it sucks, it's only a bit of money down the drain. :s22:

Alternatively if u don't want to go thru all that trouble, u can pm me. I got contact for anker's sole distributor in sg and msia. Think he might hv note battery. $25 for one.

Bought a 'gold' battery for $5.5. So far it has been doing ok for a week. The charge holds and is usable. Great for those looking to extend their lives of their old phones with busted batteries :D
