Samsung Note 10.1 Died while charging

Good Day guys! My samsung Note 10.1 died while charging.. Brought down to Plaza Sing Samsung service centre to let them assess..

Previously was told by Jurong Point service centre staff that Plaza Sing's branch has technician to assess on the spot. But turns out they say need to leave there for 1 day to check and will cost $30.

Paid up and within an hour later, received a call from them saying that my Note 10.1's motherboard, battery and the charger ALL Spoil. Is it really possible or they just want me to pay up and change everything? $300+

Was thinking of bring my Note to repair shops to seek 2nd opinion.. Anyone has any advices or recommendations?

Bring to marina square. the tech there are better.

most probably they don't even know what went wrong, and they just want to change everything to cover the fault.

Warranty expired.. This note with me for 1 year and 2 months already.

Thanks for the advice.. I didn't know they open a new service centre in Marina Square.. Hopefully pay another $30 assessment can see if the motherboard really spoil..
