Facts & Misconception about Gorilla & Dragontrail Glass - News - MIUI Official Forum

This will be a good read regarding the hardness of materials. It will give an idea on how to protect your phone's glass better if you intend to go naked. Everything can be scratched by something. Even diamond can be scratched by another diamond.

Good sharing.....pple forget the word `scratch resistance only'...not scratch proof :D. This proves manufacturers were right in spending all that money on marketing.

Same as water resistant analogy, so the resistant mean a mild amount of scratch it can resist. Water resistant means it can keep out water forms like rain and might be able to keep out water in a pool for a short period of time where water proof means it can withstand large amounts of water for long periods of time.

NPNT... Can show your photo of scratched screen to show how badly or easily it is on your encounter, also share how you actually scratched it? If not it's very misleading to post this just like this and people will anyhow think negative of the glass...

I've been using mine naked till now no scratch, just some hairline on the shiny metal.

PS: For everyone info, if you shine torchlight under the screen LCD, you will see all the lines, but it's not scratches just the screen itself.

Higher chances are the oleophobic coating is the one being scratched instead of the real glass.

And yes, its just resistant to scratch, but not scratch proof. And one thing which can easily scratch the screen is sand.
