Samsung Note 8 sensors not working

The sensors on my Note 8 aren't working. Will the motherboard replacement (in the worst case scenario) erase the entire existing data in the phone?

Yes, all data gone. I had to do it twice. Once end of last year and once in May this year. Seems like quite a common problem.

you mean the unworkable sensors quite a common problem?
