You can find it when u tap on "view all" option at the transaction history of points. Then it brings u to the page where you can see the point expiry if there is any. Point expiry will be shown for those expiring within 3 months

Yes, and need to authenticate when making payment in shops. I have personally tried and tested on the first day transport card function is launched. So I can say for sure
