Any idea how much it cost to replace a phone battery ? S6. Thanks very very much.
iRepair at Pinsep Street... or GW at SLS... definitely cheaper... I also tried those mobile repair shops on 3rd floor SLS and got my Note8 battery replaced - $40 not original Samsung battery... last about 2 years already... still ok...Was quoted $69 + $53.50 labour cost for replacement of my Note 9 battery.
Any bros can advice where is a reliable and reasonable priced place to do it? Have been using note series for many years, but this is my first one without removable back cover for battery replacement.
Seems Mistermobile has good reviews. Anyone?
Thanks, I went to Mister Mobile for my Note 9 and was asked how long my battery took to go from 100% to 0%. I told him cannot last 1 day, and I noticed its much worse compared to last time. But he was an honest guy, he advised me not to change as the battery they would replace is not as good as the original Samsung battery and I might see not much of an improvement. He said to wait until battery cannot last 6 hours, then to change. So I will continue to use until it gets worse.iRepair at Pinsep Street... or GW at SLS... definitely cheaper... That's pretty unusual... cannot last 1 day for normal use pattern isn't normal already leh... quite unusual that a new battery cannot last 1 day... my new battery when first replace lasted like the original... now it's still good... I didn't use my phone much today and I always leave the house with 100% charge... I left before 7.00 and came back at 5.00 pm and the phone still had 83% power left... and this is not an original Samsung battery...Thanks, I went to Mister Mobile for my Note 9 and was asked how long my battery took to go from 100% to 0%. I mean my current 4 year old battery just manages 1 day or slightly less. Think will use a few more months then change. That's pretty unusual... cannot last 1 day for normal use pattern isn't normal already leh... quite unusual that a new battery cannot last 1 day... my new battery when first replace lasted like the original... now it's still good... For a 4 year old battery, that's pretty good leh... I would just change the battery if you're going to keep the phone... small investment to prevent loss of data when the battery suddenly dies... you never know...I mean my current 4 year old battery just manages 1 day or slightly less. Noted, will change soon.IMHO.
Just to share.
Battery "failure" depends on usage. I have two Note 10+. On one mobile which has seen extensive use, 1+ years, the sticky seal that affix the backcover to the front has "ooze" out from the side. The other Note 10+ which is lighter use, around maybe 2 years, slight "oozing". The latter Note10+ still can last more than 1 day.
P.S. I went to MisterMobile and change the battery for a Samsung Tab. Super low usage but I made the mistake of always plugging it in - the back and front delaminated caused by battery super bloat.
How old was your Samsung Tab? Low usage and battery bloat is pretty unusual too...IMHO.

But the charging chip will switch off the charging at 100%? But yeah lar... once the battery drop below 100%, then it will charge again I suppose and kill the battery eventually...IMHO. IIRC.
A bit complicated. 2019 Tab, bought in 2020, did not use it until late 2021.
It got mounted on a massage chair as a controller.
The mistake was that it was always plugged to the USB charging.

Aiyoh bro... you don't know meh... cheap phone always outlast expensive phone... it's in the nature of things... ha ha ha ha....IMHO.
My 2 lower cost Galaxy Tab ( although they have LTE/3G ) seems LCD like to detach from the backing probably due to battery bloating. I suspect could be design to be like that.
In comparison, my Samsung J2 Pro with removable battery seems better despite
a) exposing it to sunlight on the car dash
b) high battery temperature over 40 degrees Celsius
c) app shutting down and restarting due to high temperature
d) constantly plugged in charging with battery always at 100%

Wah... where you get these phones from? They're not sold in Singapore right?IMHO.
How true!
I got another cheap phone Samsung Xcover 5.![]()
