Samsung T7 with Mac Mini

Hi Guys,

Planning to get a Mac Mini soon mainly for Lightroom and Photoshop...

Seems 16Gb RAM is really good to have and I will be upgrading to the additional RAM...

I was also looking at the internal SSD upgrade, but $600 to me seems quite high to upgrade the 256Gb to 1Tb.... Does it make any sense to upgrade the 256Gb to 512Gb and get a Samsung T7 in the future? Am I sacrificing a lot on speed, or I should really xonsider saving more to get the 1Tb internal?

Yup... talking about exactly the new Mac Mini with M1...

Wait next year and get with 1Tb... or purchase now with 512Gb(or even 256Gb) and get a 1Tb T7 next time..

Then nothing is upgradable. You can try plugging ssd/hdd in via USB to grow the storage, out of luck for others, so think hard which specs suits your needs, cos you’re stuck with what you have for the coming years.

for mobility of course get the highest capacity u can afford. otherwise just get the external sdd for storage lo

At the very least, 16GB/512GB. With the way application, OS and file sizes are increasing these days, and if you rely on cloud computing too, you’ll regret your choice if you chose 256GB.
