does this model have a "off" button that goes into standby state when not in use instead of shutting it down? Will this drain off the battery?

its does have that button, to off the screen and press again will wake it up. similar to what i am asking above. read on old reviews online that it may drains and go flat totally, not sure if new updates since have solve this issue.

Qoo now have $200 off bringing it down to $798, thinking off hooting it now but reading the seller reviews they will send you the package with broken seal. :o

not yet leh.. still considering because this model depreciate damn fast. It was launched back in Apr 16? retail price @$1600+ then it dropped to under $1000 this Dec. Newer upgrade spec came out liao so not sure to wait for the 8gb/258gb or not. :(

My 2cent as current owner will be to judge closely if m3 processor is good enough for you. Upping memory to 8gb will not improve processor performance.
I myself kind of regretted getting this tablet. Too slow for my use, and the single port really become pain in the ass.
With convertibles getting better, you need to really ask yourself if this formfactor really important for you ?

But I guess the winning point for this tablet is that it is a Window OS with sim card ability, and current under $1000 or lesser :O

I understand it does not come with sd card slot.
Isn't 128GB kind of insufficent?

Enough for document and program. And some mp3 i guess.
Im using usb-C thumbdrive to store my movies
If you have the multiport dongle, you can also use normal thumbdrive or even external hardrive. The dongle can be connected to power source.

sleep works well actually. But as with all windows product (be it pc, laptop, tablet) sleep will still drain a little bit of battery.
I set my unit to auto hibernate after certain period of time. or just outright shut it down before going to sleep.

Imho this will not serve well as ipad replacement. mainly due to apps, and this kind of instant on off issue.

this tablet obviously cannot replace laptops.
this tablet is only good if you use it for surfing net, doing office documents, etc.
if u want to use it for gaming, definitely is a no no.

My set actually will drain battery even if it is totally shutdown. Even after I sent for servicing (changed battery) and it is till the same. If after a few days not used, the battery will drop from 100% to eg. 65%. Anyone have the same experience?

Yes. Totally shutdown. You don't have this problem?

i don't have a pro S, but to think of it its disastrous to be draining when its turned off.

You might wanna check if your battery is properly calibrated, might be due to the software reporting wrong percentage..

Well, I have already sent in my set to Samsung for repair and they have changed the battery and motherboard. I suspect this is the reason why they dropped the price by so much.

I took out my sim card and it seems to be not draining battery when shutdown. Anyone with a sim card has the same experience?

Doesn't make any sense... once shut down then it must mean that nothing is consuming power... so it must be that there's a circuit leak...
