From various reviews, seems like there's heavily throttling which dips performance and brightness of the screens, heat issue as well especially in tropical countries like SG. Not sure if this can be rectified with OTA updates or merely a design issue, some claimed the throttling is to align with Samsung's claim of "all day battery life" hmm.
Those who buy already know this..it's normal for the dips in performance..cause phone is very thin now..no more vapor chamber.

Anybody have a spare $77 voucher if its still valid? I pre registered and paid $10 an hour before the event and only got a $50 voucher, never got anything :(

Also is S22 Ultra eligible for Overtrade bonus $250? Samsung website only taking $550 for my device. Any recommendtions on which would be the best place to pre order to trade with a singtel S22 ultra?

I was waiting for some one to complain after I knew no vapour chamber.

Here’s a summary of the YouTube video *Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Hands‑On – Watch BEFORE You Buy!*:

[Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Hands‑On – Watch BEFORE You Buy!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-P7oA63bJM&utm_source=chatgpt.com)

---

## 📱 Summary Highlights

* Hands-on review of the **Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7**, giving early impressions and feature insight.
* Covers **design updates**, display quality, camera specs, performance, and user experience.
* Mentions noticeable **warmth from device** during use—suggesting thermal behavior given the ultra-thin frame (around 8.9 mm folded) ([TechRadar][1]).
* Provides opinions on fold structure, hinge mechanics, real-world feel, and overall usability.

---

## 🔎 Vapor Chamber Mention

* The reviewer briefly notes the presence of a **vapor chamber cooling system** in the Fold 7, paired with **high‑capacity thermal graphite** on certain internal components, to help manage heat—particularly during heavy use like gaming or multitasking ([SammyGuru][2], [Reddit][3]).
* Some Reddit users question whether vapor chamber is included across all units; one comment says: “no vapor chamber. I’m nervous…” suggesting potential inconsistency ([Reddit][4]).
* Industry rumors and reports prior to launch indicated the Fold 7 and Flip 7 models would feature **larger vapor chamber cooling systems** than previous generations for better heat dissipation ([SammyGuru][2]).
* Besides rumors, reputable hands‑on sources confirm the inclusion of a vapor chamber in at least some units ([Reddit][3]).

---

## ✅ Conclusion

* The video itself **does include mention** of a vapor chamber-based cooling setup in the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
* However, the discussion of it is brief and not a primary focus.
* Complementary sources confirm that **Fold 7 uses enhanced thermal management**, including vapor chambers upgraded over prior models.
* But anecdotal Reddit feedback indicates variability or ambiguity in whether all units include it.

TLDR version - Some say have some say don't have

Personally I think most likely have, just wait for more creditable youtubers post more detailed breakdown videos + wait for Samsung to come out new updates to patch any possible over heating issues.

Foldables are usually more prone to overheating related issues (depending on type of applications run and duration).

There's a livestream exclusive gift that will be shipped with the new phone. Does anyone knows what's that? I may be wrong but I don't think it is the SC+ or battery pack cos they are listed as separate items.

and the impact of battery aging on older models.
that is the reason I don't really count too much on these comparisons with older gen versions. Especially fold 5 that has been around for 2 years and battery has been cycled for more times than Fold6. Battery should take a little hit than the new Fold7.

“The battery life, unsurprisingly, is pretty middling. Samsung’s 4,400 mAh power pack thankfully didn’t get smaller despite the thinner design, but Snapdragon 8 Elite alone can’t make up for the bigger, brighter displays and other changes. I’m seeing this battery be just enough for a full day, but I also haven’t had any particularly heavy days thus far.”

The battery is really a huge disappointment….

This is in comparison with other thin foldables like honor v5 leh. Definitely can't fit vapour chamber like gaming phones and thicker ones. But I think it's the way their design and throttle the fold 7. It's like compromising a lot of things just to be thinner and lighter, and to claim full day battery life for a mere 4400mah(which is only 42xx mah in actual test) .

Yea… compromising quite a lot in exchange for being…. ultra slim.

I would imagine that people who buy foldables are more of “power users”. 4-5 hrs of screen time can’t cut it for such users, especially in 2025.

It almost seems like with the Z Fold 7, which feels just like a regular slab phone when unopened, Samsung is targeting a different customer profile - the average (rich) consumers.

Depends on whether the test units were being used daily or just for demo and then kept aside. anyway, naysayers will continue to be naysayers. If buy already then just enjoy it. power banks r readily available nowadays.

But when looking at n5 or v5, they dun perform extremely well considering they have significantly bigger batteries. Only 1 to 2 hrs more than fold7 only. Compared to s25u‘s 10hrs, is not even close.
